Hey Evan,

It was great meeting you this Saturday. I was just checking out your blog and saw this post and wanted to point out that you can do this much more easily with Apture - if you know the photo you want to link just copy the url of the flickr page (no need to get the actual image url) , go to your blog, click the Apture embed button and paste the url in and click create embed - done. And if you don't have the image yet you can search it right there to.

Best,
Can

Hello!

Sorry to hit everyone up with a bulk email like this, but its for a good cause!

I wanted to let you know about Kiva (www.kiva.org), a non-profit that allows you to lend as little as $25 to a specific low-income entrepreneur across the globe.

You choose who to lend to - whether a baker in Afghanistan, a goat herder in Uganda, a farmer in Peru, a restaurateur in Cambodia, or a tailor in Iraq - and as they repay their loan, you get your money back. It's a powerful and sustainable way to empower someone right now to lift themselves out of poverty.

I've been volunteering there the last couple of months in their community outreach team, and I'm in charge of all of their social media efforts. Check it out and let me know what you think!

Evan Bartlett
evbart@kiva.org
http://www.twitter.com/kiva
http://www.kiva.org/lender/evbart

Check it out!
https://www.kiva.org/app.php?page=register&_isc...

Yes, they do this today as well as with other DBs that offer similar
licensing - like CrunchBase and Wikipedia.

It is always a very easy photo implementation option - but this is of course
my biased view.
